SEARCHING FOR VOLUNTEERS

We are in great need of more volunteers to help us keep the Shrine running smoothly and looking beautiful. The areas we need the most help with are cleaning the Pavilion before Mass on Saturday (sweeping the floor, vacuuming the altar, & dusting off the benches); taking up the collection during Mass; and helping out with monthly mailings. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please fill out a form available at Mass, the gift shop, and the office. Or you may call the office at 518-853-3646. Thank you!!

BECOME A SAINT KATERI PRAYER VOLUNTEER

Become a Saint Kateri prayer volunteer. We are all busy. There are many times during our busyness when there are pauses, such as driving, waiting in line, waiting for someone to join us. During these pauses we can pray Hail Mary's to our Blessed Mother through the intercession of St. Kateri and join her in prayer for a special intention for healing, peace, relationship building, personal intentions, etc. Let me start, "Saint Kateri, I want to quit smoking, make me brave enough to achieve this goal." "Hail Mary, ..." ~Fr. Tim

NEWS & EVENTS

LIVING NATIVITY GRECCIO SERVICE

In the year 1224, in the Italian Town of Greccio, St. Francis of Assisi was inspired to recreate the birth of Jesus Christ. At his invitation, the townspeople gathered outside at sundown and sang hymns, listened to the Gospel Nativity Story at a simple manger surrounded by livestock. With their voices raised in song and prayer they realized and experienced what Mary and Joseph experienced as they entered Bethlehem.

Join us in the parking lot at the St. Kateri Shrine on Sunday, December 8th at 4:30pm for a brief Christmas experience as we welcome once again the birth of the Baby Who Changed Everything. Our Celebration will be held outside in the dark and cold to remind us of the faith Joseph and Mary had in God's Desire for them and for us as His Chosen Children.

Grassmann Hall will be open for anyone who desires to join us in prayer and song but would prefer the heat and light. Bring a Christmas dessert to share with the coffee and hot chocolate provided afterwards. It is recommended that you bring a flashlight.
